Is Online Learning for Me?
By Saul O'Malley

Aside from being able to use a computer and having convenient Internet access; there are a few personal characteristics that can help you determine if Online Learning is right for you.

First, you must be self-disciplined. Holding yourself responsible to perform the tasks required by your instructor is absolutely necessary if you wish to pursue your degree online.

Second is organization. Keeping your online course workload separate from personal and work files will help you to move quickly and efficiently.

The last is, having the ability to take initiative. If you have questions, ask them.

Although there are no classrooms, this does not mean you should expect any less of a dialogue between yourself and instructors. Ultimately, if you are able to hold yourself accountable for what is expected of you with the goal of advancing yourself and your career, Online Learning is right for you! Now it’s a matter of taking the next step and following through.
